I agree w/ BD and Dire.

Bands encouraging fans just to vote, is a great idea.

Encouraging fans to vote for a specific cadidate, and rasising money for that candidate is foolish. This forum is a great example of how loyal fans feel put-off by this engagement.

It's a no-win for GD.

ALL THAT SAID....I am able to completely dis-connect the politics from the music.

I will pretend it's just a show.

I'll ignore any propaganda(should be interesting) that may be forced upon my eyes or ears, and carry forth in pursuit of musical enjoyment.

I wish myself luck!:)

Progressive values aren't dark mostly, but unexplained blanket criticisms do hide certain biases.

I was more interested in Edwards because he's a white Southerner with a progressive inclination. He seemed like he'd be able to provide an out for the 70% that are tired of the current massively corrupt bunch. He's even a good speaker but not favored by the TV.

But Obama is an even better speaker, and seems like the real thing, bright, inclusive, real America. At least that what Phil just said during the break.

I'm not sure how many big mistakes America can make before instant karma comes down in retribution. Empires always fall, but why not go out with some class? Maybe that's why the band decided to take this stand.

>>>I hope they sound good tonight - I just know I'll miss that distinctive guitar and vocal sound that won't be there. >>>

The guitarist is good, and not slavishly copying.

So far for me this time, it's less composing lonesome blues over what has gone.
